WAS CREATED

Distrikt41 combined our passion for food, experience in professional kitchens, and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, creating a truly unique vibe that we desire in the vibrant centre of Alicante. 

We met a many years ago working as private chefs at a ski resort. We clicked from the very beginning, not only as friends but also when we talked about food and hospitality, despite our totally different backgrounds.

First, let us introduce ourselves: 

Joris
Danny

Joris

Joris has many years of experience in a several Michelin star rated restaurants, where he has excelled as a sous chef and head chef. He has incredible cooking skills, refined taste and determination to bring any restaurant´s kitchen to its full potential. 

Danny

Danny is a smoke and barbecue fanatic! His experience comes from being a head chef of one of the biggest barbecue catering companies in the Netherlands. He has also worked as a freelance chef, where he has learnt what the industry has to offer and enhanced his creativity.

You’ve probably guessed it by now? Of course, it is a high end, live fire restaurant.

Imagine yourself at a seat of a grand chefs bar, with everything set out in front of you. Local, high-quality produce is being carefully prepared and turned into modern, barbecue style, fine-dining dishes before your very eyes. As if you’re buckled up in the front row of a food roller-coaster.

Our warm industrial style projects a rugged and yet seamlessly cosy ambience, welcoming all different calibre of guests. Whether you are a wine devotee wanting to try some BBQ teasers or looking for a more sophisticated experience with our 7-course tasting menu coupled with an exclusive wine pairing – Distrikt 41 is for you!

Our menu will be renewed often enough to move with the season, surprise our regulars, and challenge the chefs… taking their artistry to new heights.

We adopt an innovative approach by not just being the owners but becoming the host and the head chef.

Our goal is to become contemporary, out of the ordinary, fun chefs, truly offering the best hospitality in town.
